ABOUT SERENA
Shooting is in my DNA. It is my passion and has given me the best days of my life.
I come from a long line of sporting men and women and
was extremely fortunate to grow up in rural Cornwall where our family estate, Caerhays Castle, is home to one of the finest shoots in the country.
From an early age I was always to be found outdoors helping on the shoot or riding my pony.
As my sporting career developed, I combined Three Day Eventing to Advanced level with hunting and shooting both competitively and at home. I met and mentored some truly amazing women and they inspired me to launch Phoenix Sporting.
I have a wide and diverse portfolio of shooting experience both in the UK and abroad. It is this sense of thrill, bonhomie and variety that I wish to share with you.
I am a member of the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers, a monthly columnist with my wonderful husband for The Field magazine, where I have also appeared in their 'Top Shots' feature for a number of years, as well as being a Purdey brand ambassador.
As mother to a young daughter it is extremely important for us that she enjoys the countryside as we do. We regularly shoot together as a family with our labrador always by our side.

Serena represents the recipe for a perfect shooting lady in every way possible. With elegance, charm and efficiency, combined with lashings of knowledge, she was dragged into the field, either on a pony, with a labrador or a gun from an early age. Nothing would deter her from stepping out into our unreliable Cornish weather, but she always remains a bastion of elegance. On a more serious note, Serena has always taken every opportunity to learn about everything the countryside has to offer.
